This region is renowned for being one of the best shiraz growing regions in Australia and no wonder, the majority of soil here under vine is Cambrian - rich red volcanic and deep with excellent water retention. Many claim that the shiraz grown here is the best anywhere.

Heathcote wines are defined by their inky depth of colour and deep, dark complex fruit. wines that are simply well balanced, smooth and sought after to enjoy. As well as the shiraz, Heathcote also produces excellent examples of sangiovese, tempranillo, petit verdot, cabernet sauvignon and merlot in the reds and in whites voigner, marsanne, riesling, chardonnays and sauvignon blanc are simply devine.

Experiencing these wonderful wineries is a day out you will not forget and a great chance to stock up your cellar with a few bottles of the wine you enjoy. So bring your friends and join us us. 

 

Itinenary

1st Day > Pick up will be approx 9am then we will travel to this amazing wine region to enjoy some of the finest award winning wines in Australia. Enjoy a winery lunch after which we will visit 3 wineries that afternoon. Followed by checking into our accommodation then ready for dinner. All included in the tour cost.

2nd Day > Enjoy hearty breakfast after which we will visit 2 more wineries with lunch at our last winery (at own cost).

Arrive back in Melbourne approx 6pm.
